Thomas Knight’s Lead Activities Coordinator, Haley, recently took on an incredible challenge, climbing Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain at 978 metres (3,209 feet).
Braving the rain and wind Haley powered through the tough conditions with one goal in mind, to raise money for our residents. Thanks to her determination she successfully completed the climb and raised a very impressive £500.
All the funds will go directly toward enriching our residents’ activities, from live entertainment to special trips and outings. This will help us provide meaningful and person-centred activities.
A huge thank you to everyone who kindly donated and supported Haley along the way.
And of course, a massive well done to Haley!
Hayley and the team of activities and occupation coordinators are transforming lives at our Blyth duel registered nursing and residential facility Thomas Knight
With the snoozelum room transferring to a larger home on our Auguste Community suite, two new lounges and a cinema room all coming before Christmas, Haley and the team have much to celebrate.
With our new getting to know you booklets on the way and the many resources provided by our partnership with the Daily Sparkle, residents are thriving and are also making their presence felt in local cafes and pubs with the many outings now happening with residents from all three of our specialised care floors!
